GIVING MATERIA HOMEOPATHICA MEDICA A BAD NAME, AND THEN SOME (AS IF ITS SUPPORT AMONG EXTREME RIGHT "PATRIOT" TYPES WASN'T AWFUL ENOW): The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) hath it that many parts of the country are seeing "swine flu parties" whose sole intent and purpose is to infect as many as possible in attendance with the 2009 H1N1 virus; the theory here being that, by picking up a mild form of H1N1, such would help build up immunity against any stronger forms as may develop.
Which, as your doctor will tell you, is not exactly the case; on the contrary, such could make it easier for the virus to mutate into stronger forms as, far from helping build up immunity, can only have quite the opposite effect. Especially the fatal sort, which is horrible dictu for the most part.
As if that weren't enough, weird and unwholesome elements are pushing atrocity propaganda claiming that 2009 H1N1 is really of super-secret laboratory origin; the better, so this thinking holds, to distract the attention of the Good American People away from The Larger Conspiracy of President Obama to Weaken and Undermine Our Holy and Beloved Nation and Her Antient and Peculiar Sovereignty and Sovereign Identity Under One of Various Guises and Ruses.
The same weird and unwholesome elements, it turns out, pushing the screed suggesting that the Government is keeping out of the public eye information about the development and availability of homeopathic treatments in Europe for HIV/AIDS, cancer and Other Loathsome Diseases; the better to "protect costly and ineffective research involving conventional medical treatments."

AND SPEAKING OF HIV/AIDS AND ITS EFFECTS, the weird and unwholesome must probably be drooling in their Luscious Glory about ways to exploit for atrocity propaganda ends in our "morally superior" United States (especially that of the "it can happen here" and/or "none dare call it conspiracy" schools thereof) news about the rampant and even out-of-control spread of HIV/AIDS in the Former Soviet Union and its consequences for the first generation of post-Communist Mother Russia.
The which may have been made all the more rampant by the lingering excesses of Communist puritanism in the early stages of the epidemic in the mid-1980's which expected Loathsome Diseases of such ilk to be all the more likely only in the "decaying capitalist world" and, because of the Workers' and Peasants' Control of Industry and Agriculture, such cannot be expected to run rampant in the Workers' Paradise.

No wonder doublethink is held dear among conservatives, especially when the overzealous application thereof can be held as a Badge of Honour and Glory.

WHAT THE REACTION AND INTERREACTION MUST BE OF OPPONENTS TO PRESIDENT OBAMA'S SOCIOECONOMIC STIMULUS PACKAGE MUST BE to news that the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge hath been closed to all traffic Until Further Notice, forcing commuter traffic ordinarily using same onto other crossings (or, even better still, to ferry services or BART rapid transit), because of some 2.5 short tons of steel and wire collapsing onto the bridge deck @ the heighth of the evening commute on Tuesday, is not very pleasant to dwell upon.
Come to think of it, expect such to cross into the racist, not to mention calls for essentially repudiating the National Debt concurrent with the "complete and final" reinstatement of "Constitutional money" (as in a gold-backed dollar "to promote common sense" and "labour discipline") itself concurrent with the "complete, final and binding" abolition and liquidation of the Federal Reserve.
(Or, more than likely, essentially refinancing the aforementioned National Debt in a series of gold-backed securities issues to be financed not unlike the stylee of the star-crossed South Sea Company in England @ its founding in 1717; in addition to having a Government-Protected Monopoly on trade between England, South America and the Pacific Islands, its charter also had them assuming the National Debt @ 6% p.a.)

EXPECT CERTAIN "CHRISTIAN PATRIOT" GROUPS, AND THEIR ONLINE DROOGS IN ZEALOTRY AND TRUE BELIEF, to be pushing for a United Campaign to "give till it hurts" among especially Joe Sixpack to launch a test case in the courts vis-a-vis just-encacted Federal legislation extending Hate Crimes protections to homosexuals and the disabled.
Especially the sort which plays the "Christian Persecution" meme to the hilt for "winning of hearts and minds" purposes--only, unknown to those behind the United Campaign, such is really a setup of the highest order as can be quickly dismissed by the courts for being "frivolous, vexatious and/or tortious."
Not to mention raising questions of Malicious Prosecution.
Even worse: Expect those behind the United Campaign to, under mysterious circumstances, redirect funds thus raised to "more pressing and urgent needs" @ the last minute, and with only the shortest possible warning to donors, if that. Not to mention the likelihood of such funds being held in offshore "pure trusts" structured purely for "tax reasons" as much as "judgment-proofing."
