Better yet, why not leave a comment on these several postings (so long as it's tasteful and decent)?***BOOKMARK! BOOKMARK!! Oy vey iz mir!!!***Thanks for visiting today ... and I hope you can make this a regular habit, or reasonable facsimilie thereof.

IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T HEARD, EXPECT UNNECESSARY DISAPPOINTMENT GALORE IF YOU PLAN ON STANDING IN QUEUE EARLY FRIDAY MORNING to get your filthy little hands on one of those "doorbuster" deals a number of major retailers are planning to attract holiday-shopping trade.

Especially if you don't read carefully the smallprint warning of limited quantities allocated to individual stores, which can make the disappointment worse.

But then again, on the other hand, Amazon.com hath "Black Friday" values all this week as might have you thinking twice about standing in queue, only to risk bedlam and confusion when Reality sets in--especially if serious injury ensues in the crush. As well, part of what I get out of the bargain will help towards Reduction of the National Debt, in case you need a clear and compelling reason to shop online with The Exaggerator.

Likewise with the several other e-tailers thus affiliate, not to mention The Exaggerator Collection, its CafePress.com-powered e-boutique offering wearable billboards (as it were) for this blog (cf. Wall Drug Store's signs and Stew Leonard's shopping bags).

(That "bedlam and confusion" bit, in case you ask, was by way of the January 1968 edition of the Official Guide of the Railways, a copy of which is in my possession, under representation of the Bonhomie and Hattiesburg Southern, a short-line railway down Mississippi way. Now you know.)

IN ANY EVENT, I DO APOLOGISE FOR THE TARDINESS IN THE POSTING OF TODAY'S BLOG ITEM, as you are reading now.

I was rather busy this morning keeping the watch @ the motel I do for in Winona for somewhat longer than usual, with Mein Innkeeper Friend arriving somewhat late due to pressing business. Followed by lunch buffet @ Sammy's Pizza here in Winona for the first time in G-d-knows how long, which took a further bit out of the day.

In any event, I suppose you've heard about an initiative to raise funds to build schools in such areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan as are under the rather noisome influence of al-Qaeda and the Taleban, the better to counteract the wholesale poverty, fecundity and stupidity as makes Islamic extremism all the more attractive to the local populace as a way out of their misery (or so they're expected to think) ... and since "it's a small world, after all," to quote the Co-National Hymn of Disneyland and Walt Disney World, you have to wonder if an analogous scenario can apply vis-a-vis Low Church Christians in our "morally superior" United States identifying or associating themselves with the Extreme Right, especially so "tea party," "patriot" and suchlike movements. Especially when the target audience is, by and large, "white trash" of the lowest breeding and intellect, having @ best a 4th- or 5th-grade reading and comprehension level and rather limited career skills such as would preclude viable retraining.

Leaving as the only viable career options available thereto "work-from-home" and "earn-money-from-home" schemes of dubious nature, not to mention structured in such ways so as to preclude realistic benefit to all but those involved in its promotion.

Which would be well worth watching.

"...and that is is a way."
