Iraq snapshot
Iraq snapshotSaturday, April 25, 2015. Chaos and violence continue, the Islamic State continues to claim victories, the US Veterans Affairs Dept will not be able to meet their pledge to end veterans homelessness by the end of 2015 -- a detail ignored this week even when it was obvious in an open Congressional hearing, and much more. Today Al Jazeera reports: Fighters from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group have taken partial control of a water dam and the military barracks guarding it in western Anbar province, security sources and witnesses said. The armed group launched an offensive on the dam late on Friday with explosive-laden vehicles, and engaged in gun battles with Iraqi soldiers that continued through to Saturday. In addition, Reuters notes, "Three suicide car bombs exploded at a border crossing between Iraq and Jordan on Saturday, killing four soldiers, a witness and an Iraqi border police source said, in an attack claimed shortly afterwards by... Argh Not The Pony
I'm an albatraoz
So after Monday when Seb helped me bring all my stuff back, and then me, Michael and Nour had an impromptu BBQ in the garden, drinking beer and listening to Radio 1Xtra from the living room, I've had a bit of a week from hell - the library has been so exhausting, I've hardly slept (went to Senate House with Louisa, Nour and Eline on Wednesday which was quite nice) and everything has just been extremely stressful. But yesterday Sebastian met me from work and we went to Spoons with Nour, Michael and Paloma and had a couple of drinks, and then went home and Camilla came round and with A LOT of Paloma's assistance we made weed brownies! They were soooo nice but they didn't do shit all lmao probably because we added too much brownie mix, but I want to make them again I was really tired but we all sat outside and ate them and did a mini BBQ and Sebastian said we looked like we were in a cult, and then we moved inside and watched a couple of videos including one for a song called I'm An... keep on praying
Verse Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Voice Spirituality without a prayer life is no spirituality at all, and it will not last beyond the first defeats. Prayer is an opening of the self so that the Word of God can break in and make us new. Prayer unmasks. Prayer converts. Prayer impels. Prayer sustains us on the way. Pray for the grace it will take to continue what you would like to quit. Joan Chittister Prayer Though you are worthy of trumpets and the song of angels, you graciously receive our daily prayers of whispered words and mundane habits. Enable us, Lord, to love you with all that we are and in all that we do. Teach us how we might truly pray without ceasing. Amen. Common Prayer

NEO-NATIONALISM’S PREMISES & CONTENTIONS / Strengthen national banking and the monetary system Erle Frayne D. Argonza Economic stability at all levels demands the strengthening of a national banking system, and concomitantly the strengthening of monetary system with sovereignty-backed parameters and rules. First and foremost of monetary missions is the re-assertion of the powers of the Constitution of the Republic over the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Needless to say, the country today faces a weak national bank, and necessarily a weak monetary system engendered by it. Sovereignty questions impede the effective operations of national banking in the country, as indicated by the excessive meddling of the International Monetary Fund, acting as agent of the global financial cartels, in the Bangko Sentral’s operations. The first step should be a thorough investigation by the Congress of the Republic to determine precisely who owns and controls... (more)

Cuti 16
April hari tu buat apa?

Kan hari tu aku ada cerita nak cuti 16-17hb kan? 17hb tu memang cuti sebab ada appointment check up telinga. 16 tu cuti sebab konon-konon sempena hari keputerian, so nak la bermalas-malasan tak mo datang kerja. End up, memang bermalasan sungguh. 16hb tu aku stay dekat rumah sewa. Hahaha.. makan n tido jerlah kerja. Tapi ada jugak kemas rumah sikit-sikit (supaya tak rasa bersalah sangat). Pukul 6 petang lebih baru gerak balik rumah kampung. Konon macam baru balik kerja la kot. No celebration, no cake. Ada la wishes dari orang tu. That's all!! :) Then a few days later ada wish dari my friend. That's all!! :) This year hanya terima wishes dari DUA orang sahaja. Hebatkan. Happy 32nd Birthday Laila Oh, then orang tu bagi RM20 suh beli kek sendiri and makan sendiri. Haha. Kira aci jugak lah naaaa.. Saja offkan notifikasi birthday dekat fb. Hehehe.. Tu jer cerita birthday.
